If you tried to register over the last few days you may have had trouble in locatin our home sim Niobe. And indeed… the land owner of the sim I’m renting 1/4 of changed 2 weeks ago and the new one decides to change the sim name from Niobe to Angelfire. What’s unforgivable is that he didn’t care about telling me he was changing it and I only figured this out a couple of hours earlier.

Well anyway, you can now go on Angelfire, 62,214,22 to retrieve your SL-Messenger watch and start the registration process.

I’m now looking to buy a whole sim if you ever hear about a good deal let me know

Well… so much silence… what’s up SL-Messenger team !?

the answer is simple : A LOT !

We are heavily working on a 2.0 version to SLM with some major improvements. I won’t disclose them right now but apart from a brand new terrific design, a complete rewrite of APIs, core and UI, major extensions to the Watch… well you must start to have a snapshot of the heavy work being done right now !

Be patient, it won’t be long until you see it … release date expecte around Nov, 15th.

A new feature will be announced early next week, but I wanted to share with you a sneak peek of one of my favorite’s : the NetVibes widget ! This widget simply lets you check on your home page the status of your friends in SecondLife. In one click decide to join your friends inworld or send them a message. I just love it and it was so easy to do using the API

SL-Messenger beta version was launched during Metaversed First Fridays tech conference on Sept. 7th. It’s an early beta bu I wanted to let the first users in and try the core functionalities of the service.

SL-Messenger is a link between you inworld and online life. Not only does it let you keep track of the places you’ve been to and the people you hang out with in SL, but it is aimed at helping you create and bind your communities of friends and help you enjoy more your journey in SL.

Only the first basic functions are available yet but the wishlist is getting quite big and we are targetting a technical release some time next week and a beta2 release with most of those features included by the end of the month.
